So I have a pair of 4gb G Skill RipjawX series ram sticks (on an Asrock z77 extreme4 mobo) which both seem to only want to click in on one side - the side with the longest row of golden fingers. I tried to push the other side down until the ram appeared aligned, then manually folded up the little latch on that side. It looks fine, to my eyes. The machine gets to the boot device screen so success I guess.
Anything to worry about? I was expecting both sides to click in... It's my first time building a computer, and was scared of breaking the mobo so didn't want to push much harder on the ram in order to hear the click...was already pushing quite hard just to get it straight.
