Hello all
I have a Maximus VI Gene, I ran the 4-way Optimization from Ai Suite utility on the board, and now the board is highly unstable...basically just blue screens on me and restarts.
Is there a way to get the board back to stock default setings?
Performing the 4-way Optimization utility was a really big mistake
Thanks for the help

Don't know your specific board.. but they usually have in BIOS (or UEFI) have a "load defaults" type option - which should do what it says and put the Mobo back to is basic and most compatible config.

My be RTFM of your board?

thanks for the reply...I've been looking around for something like this in BIOS, but havent seen anything like it, at least it doesnt crash on me in BIOS.
Thanks

come on.. 2 mins with google and the manual

"If the system becomes ustable after changing BIOS setting, load the default settings to ensure system compatibility and stability. Select the LOAD Optimised Defaults item under the EXIT menu or press hotkey <F5>. See section 3.9 Exit menu for details"

Yea...I tried that a while back, but the fans are still going crazy, and the computer is still Blue Screening. I've tried some other RAM boards I had, but that did not help, and I'm not getting any warning LED's or "Q-Codes" I can look up either. Kind of stuck here.
Thanks

Hi, I have the same Maximus VI Hero motherboard. The restore Optimized Defaults is F5 when in the BIOS. Like creichert said, it's in the manual. Hope that helps.
Sorry I just noticed you have the Gene, not the Hero, but it should still be in the Manual.
