Hi there, I have a problem with my computer, the problem is, it keeps restarting...just within seconds from the time I turn ;on the power button, it just stars and goes off and keeps repeating the process over and over again(windows XP).
The thing is, I had the same problem with my previous computer as well(within a few months it totally stopped working)
I totally changed my CPU, new i5 processor, motherboard, RAM chip, power supply and hard drive(windows 7)

Current specifications:
Intel i5-3470
8 GB RAM
Gigabyte Z77 motherboard
Seagate 1TB HD

Can someone with similar experience or knowledge about the situation help me out on how to deal with it please?

thanks!

Do you have VGA ?
The next think i can think about is bad placed RAM module !

Nope, no VGA, I have also tried switching my RAM's slots, yet the problem exists!
Can a corrupt HD cause such problems?

@ad0 what do you mean by BIOS opening?

Leave the mobo only with 1 RAM module
Disconnect all HDD + DVD`s
If you still have problem then i advise you to start from the beginning
Start the Mobo out of the CASE
Reseat CPU
1 ram module
If you still have problems you have something DOA component
Ore you CPU revision is not supported by the MOBO - check the mobo ver. x.xx support of you CPU - on the manifacturer site.

Or look for professional help !
