Hello. So I have had my PC build since May and I use a Hyper 212 EVO (MX-4) with 54C~ on prime95 (CPU is a i5 3570k). Please warn me beforehand if I shouldn't be overclocking with these temperatures.

I've decided I want to overclock, mainly for BF4 and other games considering I am using a 7970 3GB with an i5 3570k.

I have looked at THIS tutorial which seems to be legit and I think I will follow his rules and such. But my current voltage on my CPU according to CPUZ is 0.948V and when stress testing it's ~1.128V
Are these ok voltages to overclock with?

Okay, now for the actual questions.

1. It doesn't matter which storage device I boot with right?
2. What Ghz should I OC to? I was thinking about 4.2 (0.8 ghz increase), is this ok?
3. What would be the best voltage option in the bios? (-0.1?)

Thanks in advance :)

Not qualified enough to comment on appropriate voltages, but 1.128 seems fine. To your questions:
1. It doesn't matter which storage device I boot with right?
-That is correct, whether you boot from Drive C-Z wont affect your OC...the BIOS handles that.

2. What Ghz should I OC to? I was thinking about 4.2 (0.8 ghz increase), is this ok?
-Thats a personal decision, but the rule of thumb is to OC based on temps and stability. I have my 3570k at 4.5Ghz and both of those points i mentioned are sound...but every chip is different. 4.2 Ghz should be no sweat though.

3. What would be the best voltage option in the bios? (-0.1?)
-Again, no expert on voltage settings...but most modern motherboards have automatic voltage adjustment based on configurations.

Lastly, youll be adjusting the multiplier with your 3570k, so it will be in increments of 100Mhz by default...unless you change the blk frequency.

Ok, so i set the CPU to 4.2 Ghz, made the DVID or whatever thing -0.065V then started. I got into windows started up coretemp then my pc crashed and blue screened. Whenever I restart my PC I can get intpo bios then it freezes instantly not allowing me to do anything. Please help!

I would let the motherboard adjust voltage automatically. Voltage adjustments with OCs are something Im totally ignorant about.
