my laptop lenovo with win xp OS is not working properly,whenever trying to start it,'it is giving the options safemode,windows start normally and two other.and trying with every option it is not opening and restarting again.is it a OS problem,if so how can i solve it on my own?

Sounds like the OS is messed up. You should have gotten either a restore disk with your laptop or there should be a restore partition on your laptop to restore your windows. You will loose all your data though. If you need your data or don't know how to do it, I would suggest a repair shop that would be able to pull out your hard drive, copy all your data, reinstall your windows, setup your drivers, and put your data back. Call around though, some places rip people off for that kind of work. My place only charge $40 to do all that. Some places can charge up to $200 (cough, Best Buy, Future Shop).

thanq getochkn.but the main problem is ,i dont have any restore disks. i have windows 7 OS in my external hard disk.by the way i dont need data.can you please tell me how to install os through hard disk
