Missing or corrupt USB drivers?

Hi all-

I'm trying to install a new 10-port USB hub on my Win7 x64 box. This is a cheapo device from overseas with no driver disk and no website. Win7 windows update driver search came up with nothing. I was about to give up and trash it, but tried it on my wife's PC (also Win7 x64) and it was recognized instantly. I'm not sure where to go from here- is there a way to find the driver on her PC and transfer it? Or delete the drivers off my PC and have them re-install without doing anything more substantial to the OS that might affect other installed programs?
Thanks for any/all advice.

The USB hubs take power from the hosti.e. from the PC/laptop/palms etc. and their dedicated power source, which is for a 4 port 2.5 volts in general; And when connected high power devices such as External HDs(those ones without their a/c adapters)the device won't work for long or even get not detected.
I don't think that there are any drivers for this, because they work on Universal Serial Bus and in most cases plug and play(PNP) based.
So,my suggestion for a 16 port hub, contact your nearest electronic shop and the guy will tell you what adapter will go with it.
As far as for not detection just restart your PC,check for viruses and ,in the end,"scan for hardware changes"in control panel>device manager.

This particular hub is 10-port, and has a power supply. I've tested thumb drives in the same host port to confirm the host port works. I've tried deleting the USB driver stack, uninstalling all the inactive USB devices (normally hidden), but still no luck.

Still looking for ideas!

Thanks!!
