HDMI. Have tried 2 different HDMIs to get it to work. Wondering if I should DL 7970 drivers first, then take out my 6950 and try installing the 7970. The 7970 has power, just not sure the HDMI is getting the signal, or the insert thing is going fully into the PCI slot.

Need some help with this. I'm not sure if my GPU I got is bad or if there's something else going on here. My new 7970 is getting power as the fans are going, but it fails to send a signal to the TV. I don't know if it's the TV, the HDMI cord, the Graphics card not fitting into the PCI slot right, or what.

What I want to do is download 7970 drivers, then install the 7970, but will that hurt my 6950?

Then why does AMD have me go through the trouble of telling them what card I have when I get drivers? And if they are basically the same, would that mean the problem isn't with the drivers?
