Hi all, new member here.
I recently bought the 780 lightning and installed it successfully, but when I boot up my pc, the monitors don't recognize the card. I have an ax 850 from corsair so I have enough power. But the interesting thing is that if I do a force shut down and reconnect the dvi cable and boot it, it works. Any help? Please and thank you!

Hmm...try updating your graphics driver to the one that just came out.

Oh sorry. Well I physically installed the graphics card successfully, and yes I installed the latest drivers from nvidia's website (320.49)

The latest is 327.23, but regardless, can you enter your BIOS and see what the graphics configuration is set to? Not sure what the problem is, sounds strange.

Hope it holds out, sometimes there can be a corrupt file or something when downloading drivers, and a reinstall/update will fix it.

Nope, the drivers are not the problem. It's weird. I've tried two ways of booting it:
-force shut off, then replug cables = works
-force shut off, then boot = sometimes works
I'm confused and annoyed that my usual boot time is 10-20 seconds and now ever since this card was installed I have had to do these steps to get the computer running. I also tried placing my previous card (gtx 580) and booting it and it works just fine. But when I switched back to the 780 it would not display the first time unless I do those steps.

Bummer! If that's the case, I would RMA the card for sure.
