Hello, yesterday i was using my pc and all of a sudden it turned off, when I tried to power it by pressing the power button, the power button lighted but there wasn't any beep and the fans didn't spin or anything.

After a while of me trying it eventually turned on normally. Later that day i was using my pc as normal ignoring what happened and the same issue happened, but the difference was that when I tried to turn it back on there was some kind of lighting (like a static) inside the pc and didn't want to turn back on as normal. I left it overnight shut Down and this morning tried again and still just the power button lights and nothing else works.

The specs of my computer are an i3, a GeForce 210 1gb, windows 7 ultimate but not sure what the motherboard is :s

There is something else, I have a headphone connected by USB to the pc and while the keyboard and mouse don't light up the headphone does.

Also I use my computer for gaming and i checked the psu and it's set to the correct voltage.

Sorry for bad english and thanks in advance!

It does sound like a bad PSU. You might want to have it tested or, if you know how to, use a multimeter to test it yourself. Another way to verify is to use a different PSU and see if the same thing happens, or if it begins to work as normal.

Check the capacitors on your motherboard (The metal pieces that seem to jut out of the board; they look like small batteries and come in various sizes). If you see any that are very loose, burnt, or leaking, you could have a bad motherboard and this could cause your PC to randomly shut down as well. These capacitors regulate the flow of electricity in your motherboard. If they are messed up in can cause your computer to shut down unexpectedly.

You also said you saw a flash of light come from...

You also said you saw a flash of light come from your motherboard as well, right? This is worrying. Static discharge will kill your PC's hardware. It's always a good idea to either touch a door knob beforehand or use an anti-static wrist strap when opening up your PC to work on the insides.

Hopefully this information helps. Good luck.
