I bought a 4 gb ddr3 ram yesterday not realizing that my computer was dual channeled and wouldn't read the 4 gb AND the 2gb it already had in it. Is there a way to make it read both of them? It has two slots -_- only two if it had more I would know what I am doing. It has two slots. it doesn't read both of them or I wouldn't be asking. TWO SLOTS DUAL CHANNEL how do I make it run both my 4 gb and my 2 gb!

It only has two slots. I just want to know how to make it read both of my ram instead of just the 4gb

A mobo is the motherboard - I'd suggest taking it back to Best Buy and since they suggested it, having them set it up, A) it not a good idea to mix DRAM in the first place, B) It's a worse idea to mix brands C) Another worse idea to mix densities (2GB and 4GB) and D) Most all E-machines basically have a locked BIOS so you can't make voltage adjustments that are normally required to try and get mixed sets or sticks to work together
