I currently own a FX 4350, (I hear 4 vs 8 cores is less than clock speed), a board with a 970 AMD chipset, no SLI or Crossfire intended.) Just wondering if the AMD components would be SO much better off with a ATI card and is holding back my card. I like nvidia. (Physx, I get good deals) I've tried googling it but
1. Old Forum posts
2. No info/unclear.

Only 3rd build, so forgive me if I'm making a mistake.

It really shouldn't matter, but most people tend to stick with AMD/ati (now also AMD) or Intel/Nvidia. However, that doesn't mean that it won't work if you switch them around. AMD/Nvidia should work fine. There really shouldn't be any difference except with Physx, which you'll definitely want an Nvidia card for.

Hi - That CPU will not hold back a gtx660. The FX-4350 is a tier 1 CPU
of AMD CPU's in Toms gamer CPU hierarchy, it would probably be even
OK with a GTX770 or 780:

Absolutely, there's not a question of compatibility in this context. It should work absolutely fine. And that processor of yours is never gona bottleneck any Graphics Card. It can even run the 7990..

what I said was that your system can run even a 7990. It's your problem whether you can afford it or not..
