Hi, I am using Teamviewer to try & help a friend in the UAE with a Connectivity Issue on their Netbook. They use a D-Link Dongle to connect to the Internet normally, however have since had WiFi installed, and while their Netbook can connect to the internet with the Dongle as usual, when they try and connect to the WiFi with the Dongle removed it says 'connected, but no internet access' and there is a yellow exclamation mark through the WiFi sybol in the system tray. I have remotely deleted the connection to the WiFi, and restablished connection but this didn't work. I have refreshed and renewed IP Addresses, this didn't work either. I have reset the TCP/IP stack from cmd prompt and still no connection. I have also checked the Firewall and this is not the issue. I have uninstalled the network adaptor and rebooted so the drivers would be reinstalled on start-up, but again no joy......So all suggesteions are welcome!! Remember I am doing this remotely using Teamviewer and the Remote PC has the Dongle inserted as this is the only way to achieve an internet connection. So while trying to establish a WiFi connection there is an active USB Dongle connection.......All help appreciated! Thank you!

"refreshed and renewed IP Addresses, this didn't work" means what? Do you get a valid IP address from th wifi router or not? If yes, do you get a valid gateway address from the router as well? Is there any other successfully connected device on this wifi network? Security settings and password right?

Hi, thanks for your reply. Yes I get a valid IP & Gateway address from the router. The Netbook has no probs connecting to the router, but no further...... i.e. There is still an exclamation mark through the WiFi symbol. 'Network & Sharing Centre' still says, connected but no internet access.
Other PC's can connect to the WiFi no probs.... All ideas appreciated.
