i am in need of some replacement ram, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... would this be a good ram to choose? it is on sale today for 56$ marked down from $72 so i thought that was a good deal, just was unsure about team vulcan, is it a good brand?

I've heard mixed things. Personally, I would stick with a better name, even if it costs a couple extra bucks (G.SKILL, Corsair, Kingston HyperX, Mushkin). Just my thought.

I mean you could always check it out, it might work just fine for you. But especially over the long haul, I would recommend something you can definitely trust. RAM goes on sale fairly often on newegg, just keep your eye out!

EDIT: if you need it now, these options aren't much more...:
