I want to upgrade my graphics card to a gtx 660ti but it says it needs a 2x6pin pcie power lead for the psu, i have a 210 silent at the moment and it doesnt need a power cable, i have a 450 watt power supply at the moment but it doesnt have any other power slots on it (from what i can see) will i need to get a better psu? And what exactly is the power slot? Im a bit clueless
thanks

You need make sure you have enough power.. 450w may be a bit light on power if your new card needs a 2x6pin..

But you can get adaptors.. to convert what connectors you have to what you need.

All it means is that your PSU needs two 6 pin leads. The ends look like this:

Alternatively, if your PSU is powerful enough you can use 4pin to 6pin converters. However, you'll need four spare 4 pin cables to do it.

You'll probably want a new PSU, especially if you're running a generic 450w unit (which typically isn't good for anywhere 450w).

Agree if the PSU does not have any PCI-E power leads I would think it would be time for a new PSU anyway. If you need to get a new PSU go for a good one from say Seasonic Antec XFX Corsair and get a 550w that would give you enough power to spare without being overkill.
