I have an old computer with an old 300 watt PSU. Both the PSU and 80 gig 7200RPM Western Digital HDD was built in 2002(2003?). If I replace the HDD with a Samsung SSD, do I have to upgrade my PSU? Or will it consume less power?

Here's what I have: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822144122

My motherboard says: "4 x SATA2 3.0 Gb/s connectors, support RAID (RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 10 and JBOD), NCQ, AHCI and Hot Plug function"

Can I plug in the Samsung SSD in? Samsung requires "SATA III"
