radeon 7870 question

i was looking at 7870's to upgrade too when i came across

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161404
and was curious of why the big difference in price, is it just because of the brand or are their things i'm not noticing?

The original difference was just 20$ before the rebates, newegg seems to like changing prices dramatically without notice.

The XFX has a slightly better cooler but both have the same clocks and vram so performance is identical.

HIS cards have a tendency to go on sale more frequently than other brands, and their 7870s perform more or less identically to the other brands. Neither of the cards you listed are factory-overclocked, so the cheaper option is the better bet.

alright sounds good, and im replacing a nvidia graphics card so will there be software problems when i boot the pc back up?

Not if you uninstall the nvidia card in device manager then shut down replace the card, start up and the new card will run on win default VGA driver then install the AMD drivers.
