Hi All,

I have the Asus mother board: P9X79 Pro, and getting Critical Error in Windows 8 System Log file. Using HD 7800 video card made by VisionTek(http://www.visiontek.com/)

I installed 3 different drivers. One from VisionTek and the current driver from AMD and also their beta test driver as well and nothing has changed. When I UN-installed the driver the error is gone.

Here is the error:
Event ID: 41
The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

Any idea?

Thanks,

Doron

Hi There,

Thanks for your reply. I was updating the latest BIOS 2 weeks ago. This is a 2 month old computer. Probably that problem was there all the time and had other issues to deal with that Mother Board.

The company offered to ship another video card..
