my DYNEX DX-USBMIC13 hasn't been working, so i uninstalled the driver through device manager. i reinstalled it and it still didn't work (windows vista auto installs the driver) so i thought i'd make sure it was really uninstalling. i copied down the files of the driver, and after uninstalling again looked them up in search. sure enough, every file was still there. how do i get rid of this driver and all of its files completely? is there a program that can do this? is it safe to manually remove them from system32? any help would be appreciated

Don't allow windows to ever install hardware drivers....even when you delete all the files, it wraps them up and hides them and reinstalls the bad crap from its hidey places

Try uninstalling in save mode.....delete all those files you write down if any left and then run CCleaner to remove and registry entrants .... reboot to safe mode, dont let windows do anything and install driver.

It would only screw up the device that uses those drivers, but, 1 driver can run several devices. If you have 2 similar devices and 1 has an updated driver that won't work on the other, then the old driver folder will remain for the 1 that needs it. Windows will (or at least should) use the latest driver, keeping the old for restore purposes, so I would advise you keep the drivers as left by the system.
