Fan doesn't work when connected to motherboard

Hey guys,

So I bought this fan recently

and when i connected it to the cha_fan or cpu_fan of my motherboard it doesnt work....

It does however, run when I connect it to my PSU, but I don't want it running at full speed.

Any ideas as to why this is?

Check in your BIOS and in any fan controller software for you motherboard to ensure that the fan connectors are powered. Sometimes, the fan connectors aren't powered unless you either turn them on or use whatever software your mobo manufacturer puts out.

Either your fan wont work on the motherboard or in the bios the fan controller is set to off for that plug in.
