Hi, I'm upgrading my pc, and have decided to go with a Noctua Nh d14. However the fans are UGLY AS... and do not go with my theme. I'd like to know the best blue led fans for the d14. Preferably bright blue LEDs, and a shop from the UK.

Solution

After all the side tracking here's my 120mm blue LED fan suggestion as others have used this Aero Cool Shark on their Noctua NH-D14 with excellent cooling results, so you get the Blue LED, a perfect fit to the Noctua, and good cooling performance as well.

Look if you can find this fan Enermax T.B. Apollish UCTA14N-BL

Look here too. They have lots of fans and stuff :)

Those fans will not fit the Noctua NH-D14, it has 120mm fan mounting clips, replacement fans have to be either 120mm or 140mm with 120mm mounting capability, the safest option is to replace with 120mm cooling fans.

That enermax fan do have two holes in that picture. Maybe you neeed to look first and then think what you write?

My D14 did have two fans. One bigger and one smaller. So why you cant fit this fan?
Maybe it need bit modding but sure you can fit fan to a cooler? ^^
:??::ange::pt1cable:

The Noctua clips will not work with that fan, now the OP can either heed my warning or find out the hard way that you do not know what you're talking about!

How thay will not work?
This noctua do have 140 x 150mm fan?!?

Maybe he just need git mod the fan clips and it will work just fine. ?
Did just measure a Noctua fan holes are about 145mm away cross the fan. :D
And this fan did comewith NH-D 14

I have a Noctua NH-D14 running 120mm Scythe Slipstream fans right now!

I have replaced the fans and learned the hard way what would and would not fit using Noctuas clips and anyone else that has actually replaced the fans knows as well!

Additionally the 2nd set of holes on that fan you suggested are not 120mm spaced mounting holes in the first place.

Yes. But 140mm fan can have two holer so that it can be fitted to a 120mm fan place.
That enermax seems to have those.. ;)
Just like this. http://www.scythe-eu.com/en/products/fans/slip-stream-140xt.html
Higher Compatibilty
The "dual mounting holes" make it possible to apply the Slip Stream 140XT PWM in both cases with standard 120mm hole spacing as well 140mm hole spacing.

Only the 12cm would work with the Noctua clips and I have my doubts about the extended mounting tabs as they won't have much contact at all with the isolation rubber mounting strips, you'll be better off with a traditional square body 120mm cooling fan.

So you are sure that if I buy for my Noctua NH D14 Two Enermax T.B. Apollish UCTA14N-BL
140mm Fans I can fit thouse with original fittings?
I must order those fans now. Want to make bet? You pay fans and dellivery cost if they fit?
I post image about in two weeks :) I m sure they will fit.
Edit.
I have to be at the top of my success right now!. You need two moderators to pry with me whether the 140mm fan can be installed. To Noctua NH D 14 :D

Mounting to a case with 120mm mounting holes, Yes, mounting to a Noctua NH-D14 No!

The fan clips will not span that much raw frame as far back as the 120mm fan holes are located.

If you had actually mounted replacement fans on the Noctua you would know this.

The link below are the Slipstream 120mm fans I'm running and they increase the cooling performance of the Noctua NH-D14.

Rather than hijacking this thread why don't you start your own?

ROFLMAO

There's a lot more I'd like to say to you as commenting to someone that is completely clueless but has too much pride to admit he is wrong, but I know where the line in the sand is drawn as to what is, and is not acceptable to say here at THGF.

So once you find this out the hard way, no bet involved, lets see if you are man enough to come back in this thread and post your discoveries.

So Il order two fans. Is this bet like OK? If I manage to fit 140mm fans with original fittings.
You pay the fans + delivery costs? I keep them anyway. If they do not fit I put them to my case :)

Yeah, sorry about that, I posted it on my iPhone so it duped.

Were the fans I linked earlier any good?
