Hi,

I was wondering what you think of these specs, any better alternatives and what kind of games at what kind of settings could run on this. Also how would Photoshop, After Affects, Vegas do?

Specs:

Intel Core i5 4670K 4-Core Haswell CPU @ 4.4GHz
Asus SABERTOOTH Z87 Motherboard
XFX AMD Radeon HD 7970 3GB Graphics Card
8GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz Gaming RAM
1 x 1TB (1000GB) Sata III Hard Drive
NZXT Phantom Red Gaming Case
XFX Pro Series 850W 80+ Bronze PSU
Zalman CNP S12X CPU Cooler

Thanks,
Alex

That's a beast of a build, you will be able to run high intense games at high frames. Also Photoshop, After Affects and Vegas will run well, but remember you only have 8gb so don't go running everything at the same time haha :3 P.S could you tell me your budget so i can just double check if theres anything out there you might prefer?

For Adobe After Effects / Premiere etc, you want a CUDA capable card. Id suggest the Gigabyte 770 Windforce

Here';s how it stacks up in gaming

Oh that's a lot of money :p i would highly suggest buying 16gb ram preferably in 2x8gb or 4x4gb. Also consider buying more than 1tb of HDD and maybe buy a 128/268gb SDD to put your editing programs in, just to make sure that they run fast :3

If you aren't on a tight budget, i would go with the GIGABYTE GA-Z87X-UD4H, its a very very nice board and if you buy 2x8gb ram, in the future you can then buy another 2 sticks of the same ram making your pc have 32gb of ram, which isnt needed, but if you were to do lots of photoshop etc..it might be handy, you can also run RAID 0-10, has alot of USB2 and 3 ports, will be very good if you were to overclock your machine, allows you to water cool your motherboard, and you can run 2 way SLI. Overall its a very nice board, but you could find it cheaper somewhere else, i would advice you to scout around a bit and try to get it either on a deal or find it somewhere cheap :3
