im currently running a gtx 470 @1440x900. the card copes fine at this resolution but next week out of my quarterly bonus i am going to be buying a nice 24inch 1080p monitor, probably an IPS panel as i like the brightness on them.

my question is will my gtx 470 be up to pushing that resolution out? im not a fan of turning setting low and currently my gtx 470 runs most things on ultra(its got a massive overclock running!)

im thinking of going for the gtx 760 as i can get it for around £150 and then sell my card for between £60-90.

any better cards out there for the money or should i possibly wait for upcoming cards?

The 470 will be fine for most uses at 1920x1080. Of course, the 760 is a stronger option, but you don't have to be in a hurry.

Enjoy!

i ended up getting a gtx 760 at the same time as my monitor. i sold the 470 for £70, sold the arkham origins code for £20 so ended up paying £90 for it
