I am looking at getting a second 7870 and running crossfire and was wondering what the actual difference between the twin frozr edition and the stock edition is. Both have core clocks of 1050 and stock memory clocks. It looks like the fans on the them are the same as well only a different shell. I haven't had time to actually take the shell off my card to see if the cooler is similar/the same.
Here is my current card : http://us.msi.com/product/vga/R7870-2GD5T-OC.html#/?div=Overview
and here is the twin frozr edition:http://us.msi.com/product/vga/R7870-Twin-Frozr-2GD5-OC.html#/?div=Overview
Is the heatsink the only difference between these two cards?

Solution

Because it can overvolt just like TF.

Im looking for an actual answer from someone who has it not just something that I already knew. Is anyone here that knows for certain if the PCB is different or if the cooler has a different structure. Im not looking for an answer that says most likely or maybe, Im looking for definitive difference not possible differences
