Lately my temps have been really high. Just played State of Decay for about 2 hours and my CPU temp was 76c when I finished. I'm using the stock fan. My GPU was also around 72c.

Think it's time to get a aftermarket cooler? Or should I get a case fan? What can I do in the meantime to lower temps?

Thanks in advance.

Solution

Try a Coolermaster TX3 - not as good but still much better than the stock cooler.

Stock fans are rubbish. Get a cooler like the Cooler Master 212 EVO. I have a 3570 and temps never go above 55c even in a small Micro-ATX case.

212X is a little better than the 212 EVO and are priced almost the same and perform the same... sad thing is that you need a big case to fit these coolers..
