I just purchased this monitor but i am having trouble running it at its native 2560x1440.
For what I know 6850 does support this resolution however i cant find it anywhere in the driver to set it up, Maximum driver permits is 1920 x1200. What am I doing wrong? I reinstalled drivers and i am using the newest one 13.9.
I am running at it using Dual link DVI.
Thank you.

Nope it didnt work.
The weird thing is that Windows always instals its driver automatically although i disabled Windows Upddate from doing these things...
This worked always till now.
Could it be that I need to reinstall the whole OS?

Shimian display has no driver (or at least i didnt get any), i assume that Window's generic drivers are conflicting with the regular ones (Catalyst 13.9) which brings to this problem.
Or maybe there are some tweaks that i dont know about?
Also maybe this display is faulty and it cant run at 2560x1440, but i have no means of validating that at this point...

If you are referring to Windows generic drivers I think so too, but Windows Update is disabled and it should be doing this. Like i said, disabling it always worked, because i know about those dangers of conflicting Windows drivers and AMD's but nowi cant disable them whatever i do...
I will try OS reinstall tomorrow, but i am afraid that something is wrong with the monitor.... :(

It appears that we were both right.
Changing to the other DVI didnt do a thing, however, after reinstalling the system everything and switching to the other DVI worked like it should.
Thank you COLGeek for all of your help!.
