I'm currently using this monitor

I plan on getting a second monitor but I'm not sure if my computer can fit two.
My current monitor is connected to 2 different ports.
One for DVI and the other is connected to my graphics card.
I see that there are 2 monitor ports on my graphics card but I only have 1 DVI port.
Does that mean I can't buy a second montiro because my computer only has 1 DVI port? What is a DVI port?
Is it possibe to get a second monitor with the same size and quality without having to connect to a DVI port?
