Hey guys,

I've been wanting to build a gaming pc for quite some time but just recently got more into it by doing some more research and browsing for parts. I am still not too adept in this whole process, but I think I have a decent grasp of what I should be looking for. I would like some input and suggestions from you guys and my main concern is compatibility of my parts.

Purpose of PC: Moderate gaming (mostly LoL, minecraft, lower end games), but would like the capabilities of playing higher end games in case I get into them in the future(BF, Crysis, Far Cry), browsing internet, and homework.

Overclocking: Probably not at first, if my build is good enough to run higher end games with no problem then I probably won't.

Budget: Approx $1500-$1800

The build:
Case: NZXT Phantom>$120> http://www.nzxt.com/product/detail/34-phantom.html
CPU: Intel core i7-4770k, 3.5Ghz w/ 8MB Cache>$370> http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX45426
Motherboard: Asus Maximus VI Hero dual DDR3 1600, 7.1 Audio, Gigabit Lan, CrossFireX/SLI, HDMI>$230> http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX45846
GPU: MSI N770 GAMING GeForce GTX 770 2GB PCI-E W/ Dual DVI, HDMI, Displayport>$410> http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX46151
Memory: RipjawsX Series 16GB PC3-14900 Dual Channel DDR3 Kit (2x 8GB)>$158> http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX42984
Storage: Intel SSD 330 Series 180GB> $160> http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX38918
Storage: 1TB Barracuda SATAIII>$65> http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX36523

Total thus far: $1513

That is all I have picked out for now, I know I am missing a CPU cooler, power source (probably will go for 750W unless other wise stated), might pick up a DVD burner, wireless adapter, LED case fans. and peripherals landing me close to my maximum budget point.

I really like the phantom case and probably will not opt for any other, I know that there are some problems regarding the fans with this case (as I was told by their customer support), I would like to add LED fans to it just to pretty it up and I'm not sure what the problem is, if anyone knows and has answers I would appreciate them.

I must point out that I am opting for the i7 because I may share this with someone who needs the extra threads. As well as I am purchasing these parts at a local store just to avoid shipping hassles and returns if needed from online sources.

Other than that, please feel free to critique this build, please leave feedback if I could save more money or if my build is good or not.

Thank you for your time and input!
