EVGA gtx 770 w/acx, about the power supply

So i've got a EVGA GTX 770 w/ACX and an i7 3770 cpu with 2 hard drives.

Reading the guide that came with it, it says that the minimum wattage is 600w (42A on 12V rail) 1 x6 connector and 1 x8.

I have a 550w CoolerMaster PSU with two 12v rails (16A each).

About my PSU, do i have to buy a new one? if so, which one do you recommend (economic, the cheapest that is good enough to handle it).

And something that i don't understand quite well, when it asks for 42A it's in general or on each one of the connectors?

Thanks!

  1. Your CM unit at 32A total comes a few amps short of the 42A (total) recommended for system (not just graphics) I would recommend replacing it. Where are you shopping? Any preferred site?
  2. I could order it on ebay but i think ill try on local shops/websites since im from Argentina.

    edit: woops sent it twice.
  4. Looking at the Argentine websites, I only found this that I would recommend http://www.bigpoint.com.ar/fuentes/650w-nzxt-hale-82 there may be other quality units available to you but from my (very little) shopping - that's the best I could come up with for price/quality
