I have my PC connected to my VIZIO HDTV via HDMI I've got video but no sound. I have tried it as a primary and secondary monitor (the other monitor being an LG 24EN31), I've reset my PC each time. I've tried it with my external PC speakers unplugged as well.
My only options in sound manager are Realtek Digital and just Speakers (Which are the external I mentioned before) I don't seem to have the AMD HDMI Output and I have it showing disabled and disconnected devices too.
The HDMI cable is plugged into the GPU's HDMI port.
My specs are:
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
GPU: Radeon Sapphire 7970 w/ Vapor X
MOBO: Asrock Z75 Pro3
CPI i5-3570k
