Hey guys, looking to build a budget gaming pc. I am on a relatively tight budget, so would appreciate any advice on what I have below/any changes (before I go ahead and place the order).

Motherboard: M5A97 EVO AM3+ (£70.99)
CPU: AMD FX-6300 (£75.77)
GPU: HIS Radeon HD 7870 (£135.49)
Memory: G.Skill CL9 8GB Ram, 1333mhz (£36.03)
Storage: Kingston V300 120GB SSD (£60.11)
Optical drive: Asus 24x (£14.30)
PSU: Seasonic S12II-620 (£54.95)
Case: Cooler Master Scout 2 (£59.99)

Total: £507.63

My limit was £500 so is already slightly stretched as such I can't afford to increase it anymore, I would be grateful if anyone can offer any opinions on the above rig and most importantly if you could confirm that it would all be compatible together.

Many thanks in advance.

P.S I already have a 500GB hard drive that I will be adding to the rig.

Best solution

Everything looks good. I would change the RAM to be 1600mhz though as it is standard.

hey thanks for the quick response. Is there a huge difference between 1333 and 1600mhz ram. As the 1600 will cost me another £15 to £20

No, not really. If it that much more, don't worry about it.
