- going to attempt at using 600w psu that i have (5yrs old) worth it? or should i invest in a new 500w?
- going to be using the pc for gaming (LoL, WoT, Blacklight Retribution, anything good and FREE)and some 3ds max
- will get gpu later on (recommendations?)
- anything with more bang for the buck?
- any recommendations for a ssd?
- should i have a hdd also? or just get an external later on

Solution
The Silverstone SG05 doesn't take standard ATX power supplies. I know because I've got the SG06, which is the same except for an aluminum front fascia. You need an SFX power supply, and the most power you can get is 450W, from the Silverstone ST45SF or ST45SF-G.

For GPU, I think the best that will fit and work with a 450W SFX psu is a GTX 760.

If you're going to use a sealed loop liquid cooler, that will take up the front and prevent you from using the 3.5 inch drive mount (and possibly the optical drive mount as well), so I suggest you get a midrange SSD with capacity 250 GB or higher. If you get a ~1TB ssd, you might not even feel the need for an HDD.
Are you overclocking?
What is your budget?
What components do you need?
Where are you buying from?

Note: If you actually plan to use Intel's iGPU while you save up money for an actual gpu, you're not going to be able to play games. With that said, depenidng on your budget you may want to downgrade to an i5 to get a real gpu.

Also, on the psu, I would just invest in a new one to be safe.
