So I was looking at a DIMM module a while back by G.skill and since then it has gone up $16.
This is that RAM:

Looks great and it was what I intended to buy 2 months ago. Now it is more expensive than this RAM which I have just found:

The second RAM module has a higher freq and more bandwidth. WHY is it $139.00 vs the $156.00 for the lower performing RAM? Is there a reason to pay for the pricier one? Is there something wrong with the 1866Mz one? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. :)

The 1866/9 is the better set, right now you can find some great buys on DRAM items in lower supply and high in demand are commanding higher prices, where items they are well stocked with can often sell for less, there's also a shortage of various DRAM ICs right now, the models using those ICs will prob continue to climb price wise....and also, the manufacturers are gearing up for DDR4, so production is lower
