What is The Absolute Top of the Line Gaming monitor?

All my games max at 60fps so I'd like to go above and beyond that :)

What's the best monitor out there, around 23-27 inches at most.


I probably wont buy the ultimate monitor but I want a good one....

Anyone have experience with this? Will it make a difference, vs a 60Hz monitor?

Actually, you have two directions you can go:
1. higher refresh rate for smooth gameplay. If you want to go in that direction, I'd suggest the Asus VG278HE, which runs at 144 Hz.
2. higher resolution for better looking images. If you want to go in that direction, I'd suggest either one of the various Korean 2560x1440 displays you can find on eBay for $300-$400, or an Asus PB278Q for about $560.

Personally, I'd rather just take the higher resolution, except for games that don't scale the UI.
