Will AMD reveal Radeon 9970 today?

Hello. Will AMD reveal AMD 9970 today since it's 23. September?
I've read that in this post:

Will they? And is it any benchmarks yet, and real specification?

Instead of calling it the HD9000 series they are calling it the r9 290x and other models like that name

I have not heard a confirmed date yet but they will most likely announce it during this event http://www.tomshardware.com/news/amd-radeon-gpu-showcase,24300.html
