" Included in the package is two 4 GB modules of 1600 MHz DDR3 Non-ECC CL9 DIMM XMP desktop memory. specs include 512Mx64-bit, 240-pin unbuffered DIMM, 1.65V, FBGA, Gold. "

CL is also cas latency. A you can see it's a 1.65v kit. A higher quality DIMM would only need 1.5v for the same frequency ( DDR3 1600 ) and timings ( CL or cas latency 9 ).

As I said above it's fine for an AMD build though. That's really how they get away with still selling it. It's for AMD.

I avoid Kingston. They are literally the only company still selling DDR 3 1600 cas 9 that needs 1.65v to reach that speed. That means lower quality modules than every other company using newer 1.5v modules.

It will be fine with an AMD build though. The IMC on an AMD CPU is not as sensitive as the IMC on an Intel CPU.

No need to overclock it. Any gains will be in the 1% range and just increase likelihood of errors.

Ah sorry. IMC is integrated memory controller. The RAM used to be controlled by the motherboard. That is no longer the case. All modern CPUs have the memory controller integrated on the CPU itself.

DDR3 1600 cas 9 is standard. So that kit is perfect.

It's a link to a model line not a specific kit.

AMD processors are good up to about DDR3 1866. Not sure if they like RAM faster than that. You will gain 0 gaming performance going over DDR3 1600. Multitasking and video/audio processing may be 1%-2% faster. The memory controller just can't use anything faster.

No need to make 4 or 5 threads asking the same thing.
