i3 3227u with nvidia gt730m or i3 3120m with nvidia gt720m

Hi,

I am looking for a laptop for gaming but as my budget is at 40k I have these 2 options, pls suggest which one to go for

1: dell inspiron 14
I3 3227u 1.9ghz 3m cache
4 gb ram/ 500 gb hdd/ nvidia gt730m 2 gb

2: lenovo g500s
I3 3120m 2.5ghz 3m cache
4gb ram/ 500gb hdd/ nvidia gt720m 2 gb

I am confused among these as 1 is slow cpu with better graphics and 2 Is better cpu with lower graphics

Pls suggest

Go with the second one, It has got a better balance than the 1st one especially looking at the speed of the CPU. The GPU in both cases is more or less the same. These are entry level GPUs anyways. I recommend to go for the 2nd one..

4gb ram/ 2gb ati sunpro 8750m. ( seems old)

Its not nvidia. . So should I still go for nvidia one or consider this?

Absolutely.. You should have told this first. This set up looks much better than the other two. Its got AMD Radeon HD 8750 which is an upgraded mobile version of the 7750.. This looks a better deal to me.. And it will be much better than the 720 and 730s. You will be able to play all games at high resolution except Crysis 3 and will get around 40+ frame rates. You should really opt for this one..

HD 8570m is not a great GPU. Had it benn 8750 I would have recommended that but from the 3 links you gave I would have opted for the second one..

Go with the 8670m.. It's a bit better than the 720m .. Also the processor of the laptop in the link is a much better one housing a 2.4 Ghz 3rd generation processor. But games like Farcry 3, Crysis 3 will run at low settings. Fifa 14 and other such non-Crytek engine games will run fine at medium and high setttings depending on the game.. Call of Duties should also run fine as they are not much graphics demanding..

And 1 more thing, if you really want to play games at high settings then at least get an HD 8770m.. That will be quite a good GPU and you will never look back. Have a look at this link:

I searched a lot. Couldn't find one at any price range. There's a whole lot of 8670m based laptops. If you don't find them just buy the 8670 based one which fits your budget. Just got one Youtube link of an 8770m based laptop. You can check it out:

I think that's better. Try to find a Laptop with i5-3230M and GT 640M , Great Laptop. I've seen one before , but I forgot where. It's balanced and it's not bad for gaming at Low - Med settings
