My question is what GPU to pair this build with. My budget is about £250ish max. The computer will be used to play all sorts of games at 1080p no higher yet. I will also use a lot of video editting software. As well as live streaming using OBS.
Thank you. Please put down your choice with a link and reason if you can.

If you want a nividia i would go with the GTX 760 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nvidia-GeForce-DirectCU-GDDR5-Graphics/dp/B00DM9B6FO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1379926734&sr=8-1&keywords=gtx+760
brand new card, very high performance.

If you want to go with an AMD card i would go with the 7970 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sapphire-Radeon-HD7970-Graphics-384bit/dp/B008V25EWI/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1379926886&sr=8-2&keywords=7970
Very high AMD card, and will run games 1080p max out 40+ frames

Both cards other the same out put, so i is completely dependent on which manufacturer you prefer

If you want Physx and CUDA i woud go with the 760
But if you want to run multiple monitors and single card, i would go with the AMD :3

OK so I have added an HD7970 MATRIX, keep in mind this is a 3-SLOT card, so its big but its on promo and its FAST.
I have also swapped the CX750 with a better quality and more stable XFX650. It has less wattage, but the extra 100W is pointless. The stability and added amperage will be much better.

The reason I had a 750 is incase I decide to sli or upgrade to the9k series cpu from amd.
Also that gpu is to big cause in the future ill defo sli or crossfire
Depending on card I get now.

That CX750 would not be sufficient for Xfire or SLI anyway, amperage and general build quality is not as good as it should be. Its just not meant to run a high end builds.
However the XFX 650W I posted is fully capable of SLI/Xfire as long as you keep overclocking to a minimum. If you plan on OCing too then maybe you need a BETTER 750W.

Oh and the 990FX board you chose has enough space for 2 x 3-slot cards. So that is fine.

Thanks. One last question. Is the build going to last atleast 4/5 years as I need this to survive uni for me before upgrading much again. Ill also prolly add the other gpu croasfire when it reaches 200 or lower

Yeah reasonably sure it will last some time. May need a GPU upgrade in the meantime, instead of Xfire, but that will have to wait and see what happens in the next few GPU releases.

thumbs up for you! good to see a balanced advise. haha im new here and i can see fanboys everytime there is an amd vs nvidia or amd vs intel.

While I fully agree, price is what matters for the majority of people. For example right now the HD7970 GHz MATRIX goes for the same price as the GTX760... Sooooo there is no bias there, clear price/performance winner.

I was curious about the pricing so i just went on a few UK shipping sites (guessing ernzzy is from the UK or another country that uses the pound:

The GTX 760
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nvidia-GeForce-DirectCU-GDDR5-Graphics/dp/B00DM9B6FO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1379934542&sr=8-1&keywords=gtx+760
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/2gb-gigabyte-gtx-760-28nm-pcie-30-(x16)-6008mhz-gddr5-gpu-1085mhz-boost-1150mhz
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2GB-Asus-GTX-760-DirectCU-II-OC-28nm-PCIe-3-0-x16-6008MHz-GDDR5-GPU-1006MH-/130972461128?pt=UK_Computing_Computer_Components_Graphics_Video_TV_Cards_TW&hash=item1e7e912848

The 7970:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sapphire-Radeon-HD7970-Graphics-384bit/dp/B008V25EWI/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1379934725&sr=8-2&keywords=7970
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/3gb-xfx-radeon-hd-7970-double-dissipation-edition-5500mhz-gddr5-28nm-gpu-925mhz-2048-cores-mdp-dvi-h
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3GB-MSI-Radeon-HD-7970-Twin-Frozr-III-OC-Boost-Edition-5500MHz-GDDR5-28nm-GPU-/121178542324?pt=UK_Computing_Computer_Components_Graphics_Video_TV_Cards_TW&hash=item1c36cdd0f4

I know there all different makers of the card but oh well, doesnt make that much of a difference :p :3

While I see your point, none of those are GHz editions. The matrix is a VERY MUCH cherry picked component card and has STOCK frequency at 1100MHz. Not to mention the 2 cards are not even in the same league. :)

http://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/MATRIXHD7970P3GD5/

That for 260? See the value? :D

Oh right haha, i don't really know much when it comes to gpu..i'm more of a motherboard guy :p but yeah, if ernzzy wants to do video editing and live streaming as well as games, wouldn't it be best to go with a nividia card, i cant remember if it was nividia or not but i remember hearing something about nividia being better to run 3D programmes, editing and rendering, as well as mutli taking cause of there drivers, im not being biased towards them, i like AMD as well, but correct me if im wrong on saying that nividia will be better for ernzzy? :3

Depends very much on the programs used, Nvidia used to be the only choice for editing and the like, but now it depends on the software.
If the software is capable of using CUDA more than OpenGL then Nvidia is better, if the program prefers OpenGL(which is more common), then AMD is usually the better option.

Nvidia GTX 780 and Titan do have this cool instant recording function though! But thats not relevant here.
