I want to build pc, and i have some few questions, about SSD and storage space in general.

I want to have an SSD, for Windows 7 or 8. I haven't decided me about the operating system yet.
My question is:
How much space do i need on the SSD if i'm using it only for the OS.

I want to use a HDD for games, and other files. and maybe another SSD for the games im using most.

Can this be done? and is it the best solution?

plz help me :)

If you want to intsall only windows on SSD, you will need 30 GB SSD since windows 7 need about 21 + GB free space (don't know about windows 8). There should be about 3-4 GB more free space in which you can upload like internet, some programs or even light games.

A 64gb ssd is about the smallest that you can use to run W7 or 8 efficiently. A 128gb ssd is a good starting point and should give you enough space to run your o/s and several important programs/games of you choice.

For a great tutorial on how to get the most out of an ssd, read THIS guide for W7 and THIS guide for W8. Both are written by the same person, and are excellent.

Your solution with a SSD and a HDD, sounds like a really good one ;) . I myself use a 60 gb, but I i hate my self for not spending just a little more for a 120gb. Because I spend alot of my time, to much, cleaning my SSD, because i don't have enough space, so if you can you should get a samsung 840 series 120 gb, It's one of the best 120gb SSD and also one of the cheapest ;)
