Need some help here :)
I've picked out most of my parts

Country : India

Time of Purchase : 2-3 Months

Usage : Rendering, Gaming at full HD and the usual tasks.

Prefer flipkart for the parts.
Here is the link http://www.flipkart.com/computers/components?otracker=hp_menu_new_header_ComputerComponents

Would be having like 3 months before I buy them. Waiting for Sem end :D

CPU : i7 4770k

PSU : Seasonic S12II 620 Watts

Motherboard : AsRock Z87 Extreme4

RAM : 2x Kingston HyperX 4 GB DDR3

Can someone explain timings to me? Is it better to get a CAS9 1866 or CAS6 1600Mhz?

Optical Drive : Asus 24d3st DVD Burner

Case : CM HAF 912

HDD : WD Blue 1 TB

I've been thinking of this SSD, the OCZ Agility 3 60 GB. Are there better ones out there for the price? Something around 5-6k INR at most.

And a nice GPU for about 20k INR

Thanks and Tell me what you think :)

A cheaper 4670K will be just as good for gaming.
It would be appropriate when paired with a GTX780 or better.
It is the graphics card that is most important for gaming.

60gb is too small for the os. Yes, it will fit, but many other files want to go on the "C" drive. Buy 120gb at least. That will hold the os and a handful of games.
With 240gb, perhaps you can defer or omit the hard drive entirely.

On ram, the intel cpus are not much affected by speed or timings. Think of the cas numbers as the overhead to get the speed started. Lower is better.
Look for a 8gb(2 x 4gb) kit of low profile DDR3 1.5v 1600 ram.

Here is some info that you can use to shop for an SSD: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/ssd-recommendation-benchmark,3269.html

Good luck!
