Does UBEE DDW 3610 Support DLNA

I'm trying to set up a network where I can stream video files from a server computer directly to my Vizio smart tv. I am using Windows 7 set up with a workgroup not a homegroup (I've tried it as a homegroup as well) but my PC doesn't recognize my TV and vice versa.

I'm wondering if the issue is that my cable modem/router from my ISP is not DLNA compatible, but I'm not exactly sure how to check this. Here is the link to the manual for the device.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the reply, Bill!

Basically, I have an old desktop that wasn't being used, and I wanted to set it up to be a server for my media so I don't have to store it on my laptop. Also, I've done a lot of messing around with computers (I've built a couple) but I haven't done any networking before other than some basic port-forwarding for games, and I wanted to play with it a bit. It is currently set up so I can access the desktop remotely from my laptop with Windows Remote Desktop, and it's also set up so I can access the shared files from my laptop without logging into the remote desktop. This was my original plan so I could plug my laptop into my TV while accessing the files on the desktop.

However, while learning how to set it up...
When you are talking between devices in your house the modem/router is acting as a stupid switch. It has little knowledge of anything other than a mac address. DLNA is way above just mac addresses a switch cares about so it will be ignored and has no impact on if it works or not.

Generally what they are talking about when they say a device does or does not support DLNA is if you can talk to devices on the internet using DLNA. Some routers also have the ability to host data files. So even if it says it does not support it does not mean it will somehow be able to stop something it normally ignores in the first place.

Generally a issue with DLNA will be you can see the file but when you attempt to play them you get a error but it won't be the router unless it has some strange bug that will prevent DLNA from working.

However, while learning how to set it up to do this, I found out that it is possible to stream directly from the PC through the TV's Smart option. I'm trying to get this to work so I don't have to connect my laptop to my TV every time I want to play something that has been downloaded. The network doesn't recognize my Vizio SmartTV, and I would like to set that up. I read that DLNA was a way to do this, but I am open to other ways of setting it up (even if it's more complicated). I followed the online instructions for setting up the desktop with file sharing and enabling streaming, but the PC and TV still don't recognize each other. I also tried Serviio but haven't played around with it that much. Do you have any recommendations as to guides or ways to stream video on my TV from a PC on the same wireless network?

Thanks,

Adam
