This can be done with group server polices but if you are home users only it is unlikely. The other way this happens is malware changes the settings and locks you out. You will have to edit the registry to change this. I would go to microsofts site and get the instruction on how to reset your ie proxy settings. I will not duplicate it since a tiny mistake in the registry can lead to a very bad day.
Bill, I'm relieving you of all responsibility if this thing goes South because of you duplicating it. I can't make sense out of the Windows website. If it crashes, it crashes, I'm fed up with it. I'll just go buy a new one. My girlfriend's Cheap HP. Please show me the way. Thanks Tommy
