tried a few thing and it hasnt resolved the problem for me.
okay well tried the chkdsk r and f for the external drive on my mates pc and after entering it 5 times,the 5th attempt it went through
the first ckhdsk
the second it is still running but stick from last night till now on 3of 3 and says correcting errors in the volume bitmap....been like that,I cant enter anything just a white line as if it is trying something...the hard drive blue light is flasing,its stuck on that now...what do I do...its been over 18 hours on that...nothing more has changed....
if i right click on the external drive it comes up as RAW and 0mb as its properties, I ran a trial verson to recover files,but of course have to pay for software to fully get the data back.
I was given advice on here to chkdsk and on the 2nd one f it seems to have got stuck and I dont know what to do,unplug it and restart...as it was on 3 of 3 and stopped now for hours...anyone help?
