I have an Intel Pentium G620 right now, I bought an Intel Core i5 3570. My motherboard is an Intel DH61WW, my question is. If I install the new Processor after taking mine out, my computer should boot right? I DID install the new BIOS. I installed it using the Sandy Bridge Pentium G620. It's BIOS version 0113, my motherboard revision is G23116-204. I really need some help, I just want to know since I've done everything in preparation this system should boot right on. Right?

Guys, I would like some help from people who have upgraded from a processor previously.

Solution
You are good.
The main problem comes from changing out a motherboard that has a different chipset that windows does not have drivers for.
I assume that the new bios added support for the 3570. You have already done the tricky and dangerous part with the bios update.

Don't even talk to me about the BIOS lol. I had to use the BIOS jumper on the motherboard because the BIOS was stuck on BOOT. I had to force an update to 0113 because the 0099 wouldn't boot. Don't even talk to me about the tricky part. Ha, anyway, so lt me get this straight My new processor should boot my computer just fine after I remove my old processor? I am not buying a new motherboard, just removing my old processor from it and installing the new processor. Chipset is H61

Last question then I'll choose best answer. My H61 chipset will work with the Intel Core i5 3570? It's the new third gen, but remember I did the BIOS update. The new release notes says it supports. But I was hoping to find an answer.
