i am running win 7 64 ultimate, windows home server as far as machines i have used to move these files around for a manual back up. basically i run one western digital my world book II nas @4tb with recently added 4tb western digital usb 3.0 drive as one storage solution followed up with a windows home server by hp maxed out at 7.5tb (extended drive mode). everything is in NTFS.

Now anytime i try to stick a 4gb+ file on the 4tb usb drive attached to the nas i get a very nasty error saying not enough space...? no where else to i get this problem in my storage drives. honeslty i hate usb drives cause i always get weird issues like this. i am about to check the sectors to make sure its nothing stupid but shy of that i am clueless. plz help!

solved...reformatted with partion ease.

Is the NAS system running a 32bit or 64bit OS?

Psssst.... Use Glary Utilities to split the +4GB file into smaller portions and then join the files back together once they are on the NAS system.
