So I ordered a Asus VG278H because it comes with the Nvidia 3D built in. I dont car eif I get a 24 or 27 inch screen but I was wondering one thing.

Would it be better to get the QE and Nvidia kit instead of the VG278H?

I think the QE is newer and has 144Hz instead of 120 in the H. I don't know if the 3D Nvidia has changed. Would it be better to get the QE and the Nvidia 3D separately?

It only requires you to adjust 2 settings in game with 3D Vision. Tridef requires a lot more settings to get it to work. That said, by default, the convergence settings are not even available until you turn it on in the Nvidia control panel. Keep that in mind. The other problem is when a game doesn't support 3D out of the box. That is when you have to install a mod from this site and are limited to DX9 (still better than 2D at DX11). http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2013/07/game-list-full.html

Whether or not you like it or not is still a personal thing. Just make sure you give it a try on a game it works on, with depth set over 50% (default is 15%) and adjust the convergence so you don't go cross eyed if needed. Oh, I forget, there...
I personally think 3D is better in 27", and while 144hz is newer and faster, Lightboost still will not function at 144hz, so this will not work either: http://www.blurbusters.com/zero-motion-blur/lightboost/

Having it built in means less clutter on the desktop, I personally would stick with what you got due to it being built in, 27" and not having the clutter. That said, having the option to use the kit on future monitors might be nice, not that you change monitors that often.

Thanks for the input. I'm just not sold on 3D, I've never even seen it and from what I've read it looks like kind of a pain to setup on most games,

Oh, I forget, there is a 3rd thing to be aware of, the 3D laser site, ctrl-F12, I believe. This gives you a 3D site for shooters.
