2 USB devices won't work simultaneously

Pretty simple question really.

I have a Samson CO1U mic and an xbox 360 wired controller that refuse to work together.

I have tried switching the usb ports, removing all my other peripherals, reinstalling the drivers for both, even plug them in in different orders. Nothing seems to help.

They are capable of playing nice on my laptop. So it doesn't seem to be either of the devices themselves.

The issue is with my PC, they work fine on my laptop. Sorry I didn't make it clear enough.

I will try a USB hub but I honestly don't think it's a power issue. Both are powered when they are both plugged in. They just don't respond. If the mic is plugged in and in use, then the controller with just flash and be unresponsive. If the controller is plugged in then the mic won't be picked up by Skype, Teamspeak etc. Also if every other USB is unplugged they still won't work together.
