Is there a multiplayer option in BF3 Standard edition?

I was going to buy BF3 for PC over at Orgin, but before I purchased it I just wanted to make sure the standard edition has the multiplayer option.

Edit: And if there is, are there any active servers with a decent amount of players?

yes there is, just make sure in the check marks when searching for servers you choose standard edition

I have one more question: Is there a noticeable difference between the standard edition and the premium edition? Like, what does the standard edition miss out on? I tried googling it but all I got was info about the limited edition.

standard misses out on the back to karkand (all the bf2 maps redone) and a handful of guns/camos
