I have an HP Blackbird 002 with CPU intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 Codename Yorkfield
And I am trying to replace the main HDD (failing with bad sectors) by an SSD samsung 840 Sata III, but it is not recognized by bios. Bios is Phoenix Technologies, LTD version 0.03 date 03/24/2008. Motherboard NFORCE 780i SLI. I already tried several suggestions from other threads like replacing the Nvidia Controller drivers for the MS Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE controller... but still Bios or Windows don't recognize... I have placed the SSD in with a cage adapter in one of the SATA locations used by one of the HDD (to make sure is not a problem with the location)... Could you please help me! I have spent hours on this....with no results... Thanks so much

============
I have a set of 5 cages where I have 3 HDD where position 0 is the master (booting) HDD. Then the others ... up in the cages. I have tried changing the SSD to all of the other cage locations but not the slot 0 as I am afraid that It may not boot if if doesn't find the Os in that location.
I have made sure that the SDD is firmly plugged in the cage to ensure that is set in the backplane ... at no avail. I have read that changing to that Dual IDE controller from the nForce original... would fix the problem but didn't in this case.
it seems that SATA # 6 is a lose connector that looks like a SATA connector. I tried but didn't do anything (this was before the change to MS Dual IDE controller).
I am at complete lost ... I use this system for systems modeling and imy system is limping ... not a great thing ...
HP does not maintain newer bios but sent you to a 3rd party vendor ... but after paying to biosagentplus I got a bios that does not the correct one (ends in .bin) and I think it is supposed to end differently... as it was rejected by the winflash program ...

Thanks for your ideas !
