In my new NZXT Phantom build, the four stock case fans each come with a 3-pin connector. NZXT want all these fans plugged into a physical fan controller which then runs off Molex to the power supply.
I'd like to run these fans off my four motherboard fan headers. All the motherboard fan headers are small 4-pin things of the type used to connect a CPU fan. (MB is an MSI Z87-G45.)
I'd need to find an adapter with a female 4-pin CPU fan connector and a female 3-pin old style fan connector.
But I don't know if there's any special name for that sort of small 4-pin connector - and because of this I'm having trouble finding anything online.
Can anyone help??
