Trying to figure out what combo I need to use for this stereo headset to get some nice surround sound going. I have a small budget, sound card+amp should be under $100. I have my eyes on the Asus Xonar DX sound card but realized that I need to have an amp with it. What I'm thinking is, could I possibly use a home theatre receiver as a headphone amp (Yamaha V565). If what I'm thinking is impossible, what headphone amp should I get?

Get the Creative Sound Blaster Z. Under 100 bucks and it creates virtual surround sound from your headphones. It has a built in headphone amp. These sound cards are beast.

Looks good but here in Australia it costs $130, would it be possible to use my entry level receiver as a headphone amp and just get a normal sound card?
